Past event: Sept 29 - 30, 2017

World Biotech Tour Festival, Heureka - Vantaa, Finland

Coinciding with Domus's festival and the European Researchers Night (ERN), Heureka, the Finnish Science Centre, will have table activities from local scientists and iGEM teams, Lab-in-a-box activities, and a fun hidden biotech scavenger hunt through their exhibits that can be played on your mobile device. World Biotech Tour Festival, Museu da Vida (Museum of Life) - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

The tour is hopping from South Africa to Brazil! Museu da Vida-Fiocruz will host the WBT in and around the science centre with biotech activities, theatre shows, activities from Biogen Brazil employees, and ambassadors presenting the Lab-in-a-box activities and their biotech research. World Biotech Tour Festival, Sci-Bono Discovery Centre - Johannesburg, Republic of South Africa

The next stop of the 2017 tour will be hosted at Sci-Bono Discovery Centre and will take place in communities around South Africa, including Cape Town, Pretoria, and Newtown. Visitors will have a chance to meet the ambassadors and hear about their biotech topics! World Biotech Tour Festival, Montreal Science Centre - Montreal, QC-Canada

The final stop of the 2016 tour will be at the Montreal Science Centre. Visitors will have a chance to meet the ambassadors and hear about their biotech topics! The free event will be at the science centre April 7-8 and at the Marc-Favreau library on April 9. World Biotech Tour Festival, National Museum of Science and Technology Leonardo da Vinci (MUST) - Milan, Italy

The next stop of the 2016 tour will be at MUST in Milan during the European Biotech Week. The museum will feature biotech activities, a biotech scavenger hunt in the #Foodpeople exhibit, presentations by the ambassadors, and a pop up event at Porta Venezia, a historical outdoor space in the city. The ambassadors have posted their biotech videos (IT) and (EN). Vote on your favorite video by 26th Sept. and help send a student to Tokyo, Japan! World Biotech Tour Festival, Scitech - Perth, Australia

Scitech celebrated the World Biotech Tour at the Perth Science Festival and at Scitech. The museum featured LIAB activities, research groups, and the ambassadors inside the WBT tent. At the museum, school groups and families enjoyed the biotech scavenger hunt, LIAB activities, special talks from scientists and biotech industry representatives, and fun workshops on the power of honey and the wonders of making cake in a cup! The ambassadors later presented their biotech topics to an audience and panel of judges. Ambassador Shiya Huang was selected as the representative for Scitech at the SCWS2017! World Biotech Tour Festival, National Science Museum (NSM) Thailand - Pathumthani, Thailand

The ambassadors were in full force at the NSM World Biotech Tour in Thailand. Dr. Pichet Durongkaveroj, the Minister of Science and Technology of Thailand, was present to help kick-off the festival. The museum showcased LIAB activities, research groups, and the ambassadors' presentations. The ambassadors later presented their biotech topics to an audience and panel of judges at the National Science and Technology Fair. Ambassador YATA THANAKARN was selected to represent NSM Thailand at the SCWS2017! Follow updates on social media at (ASTC's and NSM's Facebook and Twitter @biotechtour).

Past event: October 25, 29, & November 5, 2015

World Biotech Tour Festival, Technopolis - Mechelen, Belgium

The final stop for the 2015 tour will be at Technopolis and the University of Leuven. The WBT will be featured at the National Biotech Day in Leuven before moving to Technopolis for a school-focused day on October 29, and finally a public day with WBT ceremony on November 5. The next locations for the 2016 tour have been selected! The 4 science centers will be announced during the opening remarks at ASTC2015 in Montreal. #ASTC2016

World Biotech Tour Science Festival, Miraikan National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation - Tokyo, Japan
